Wow.
I was solid soaked, gasping for air between the wind and shock of the cold rain before I could even get through the gate of the complex. The dog was nothing short of hilarious. It was the very first time ever, EVER, that she turned back toward the house and absolutely wanted no parts of being outside. We've been caught in pretty intense storms and walked in torrential downpours, totally epic, the stuff of stories. She's actually been out during a hurricane and she wanted no parts of this downpour. When we got inside, I had to strip at the door. I was soaked through to my underwear in less than a minute. Awesome I tell you. I could not stop laughing. When we got inside, I took these pictures of my pissed off little dog. The camera phone did not do her killer glare justice in the second pic (one on the right). I think she's convinced that I'm insane.

Why would you make it rain like that when you knew I had to go outside?! Make it sunny mom!
Ha! Love the pictures!
Oh that's awesome. We get some hellacious storms up here, but I've never seen how my girl Spiffy out in Denver would react in something like that. They never get a real east-coast storm. Snow on the other hand? I know she wants no part of the cold.
Your girl's cute. She's got a wisdom behind those eyes so of course she's not gonna sit out in the pouring rain!
I got Spiffy as a pup from a puppy rescue out in Denver. At the time, I was unemployed and living out there. I've mentioned to you that I'm not into Denver's dry weather, but just as big a problem for me was trying to find consistent work. Its just not there--at least not in my line of business. Well, I got a job offer out here in New York, but rents out here are like...off the charts. I needed the right fit, which turned out to be a rent subsidized apartment that wont accept dogs. Now maybe I can find a new place, but Spiffy's been with Rules for 7 years now. She's got a big backyard, the mountains, and a dog brother in that feral Jake. Plus she does therapy every weekend for mentally challenged kids at a shelter. Soo, she's doing good work and has a great deal. As for me....I'm the loser in the whole deal!
