Conversate is not a word

So I'm reading this profile and came across this sentence: "I like to conversate." I screamed with delight when I went to google and the first thing that popped up in the search helper was 'conversate is not a word.' Those with better halves wondering what the grass is like over here, just stay put unless you want to conversate.
