Back to the network?

Other than the haterade out there for my sistas, one of the big problems of the internet as a singles bar is that it gives you too much information out of context and lets each person chose which foot to put forward. Judging by the over 50 thousand people online right now, we probably don't pick out the best shoe to put on that foot. There are quizzes and compatibility percentages and all sorts of ways to sort but I can't think of anyone I know that would have picked the person they are married to now if they saw them on the internet first and read a profile. We try to be attractive to one another but you never really know what draws a person to you at any given moment. Most couples I know don't have a ton of common interests outside their interest in one another yet you rarely come across a profile that doesn't want their prospective mate or date to be into whatever they are into. I don't think it works like that, that you are waiting to be completed by someone who also understands some obscure reference you've put in your profile like it's a treasure map only the right person will be able to read and understand.

That aside, I'm thinking of returning to the network. That's right Lodo, the Black People Network redux. Need to feel the love. Need to have to clean out my inbox everyday because I've got it like that. Want to not have to scroll through a profile to figure out if he's even worth considering on account of his racial preferences for usually everyone but me. Yea, that's probably going to happen again soon. So much more blog fodder on that site. Polish men with bats, foot fetishes, guys who want me to compare myself to a Living Single cast member...and who can forget beautiful Rob?
