And I both never want to take it off and never want to wear it out. I want to put it on for my friends and then take it off and put on sweatpants to go outside. I don't ever want to sweat in it, get food on it, or wash it. I feel so good in the dress, I want to go out on a first date, a blind date even, just so I can enter the room looking fabulous and have the guy think 'awesome, she's not ugly.' (I know that's what you're thinking. We're thinking the same thing).
But what I've got on deck for tonight is walking the dog, figuring out what to eat for dinner, figuring out where X-Men Origins is playing because I am a nerd and I have to see that movie, and possibly a marathon of 30 Rock courtesy of Netflix. Maybe I'll do all of that in this dress, looking fabulous for no one in particular.
p.s. You like how I'm rockin' that boot? The dress rocks so hard, it makes the boot look like it's on purpose.

Va va vavoom! I barely even noticed the boot! I'm going to see x-men too! Who wouldn't want to see Hugh Jackman sans shirt???
p.s. careful not to walk by the stairmaster wearing that...he might drool on it!
Well saving the dress for a special reason does sound good, but don't be so afraid to wear it that the big purchase just wastes away in the closet...that would be very sad indeed! And I plan on seeing Xmen too, not nerdy, and I agree with marathoner81 on that one...sexy Hugh Jackman, cool special effects, hopefully good storyline? Should be good, but even if the story sucks, at least there is dreamy Hugh lol!
T.
Yay, you got it! Looks even better in purple. If you hand wash it and lay flat to dry it won't wear out too fast--like T said, don't let it waste away unworn!
That boot sounds like a bitch. Your foot-care stories reminded me of growing up in MN--in the winter we'd play in the snow for hours so my mom would have us wear plastic baggies (over socks) inside our boots to keep our feet dry.
good luck!
I second or third the YIPPEE for the dress comments... I like the purple better too. Pack that one for Cali! Um, hello rockstar legs... boot or no boot you need to be rockin' those legs more often... I say let the dress buying continue.
Side note, the idea of stairmaster runing out of the gym and trying to pump iron while you're wearing that dress makes me gag.
Holy moly... you + that dress = frickin' GORgeous, lady!! Now... I'm catching up on all of the entries I've missed, so I haven't found out where you purchased it, price, etc.... but I say: buy this dress in every color. Then where every which way. It would be darling with a little cardigan thrown over it (so demure, yet sexy), or wear it with a cropped, fitted blazer (sassy, yet sexy)... or by itself. But you look FABULOUS in it!! Woo hoo! hot, hot, HOT!
@grace; you don't know how often I think of you when I walk around the streets here. You. would. love. it. A boutique every 5 feet, vintage stores every 10 feet...I think of you when I pass by the window displays. I'm hoping our girl moves back east for a bit (before I move) and when you come to visit her, you can both pop down here with the twins in tow. Get them started early. I told my friend the other day 'I think I'm turning into a girl.' I've been a shopping fiend lately.
hee hee! "turning into a girl"... you are so silly!! btw, today I saw a girl wearing a cute dress like that with a short little denim jacket & flats. Made me think of you...
(that visit would be soooo much fun!)
