Him: hey, hope everything is going well with you and your sister. the yard sale was pretty good, didn't sell as much junk as I'd hoped but that's what eBay is for I guess, lol!
Ava: Well it should have been fan-flippin-tastic if you were willing to blow me off for it. It should have been so good it was televised.
I think it's funny that he wrote me. I don't understand. I went on to tell him I went to the Thai/sushi place we were supposed to go and would give it a pass. He's bored. And I'm bored for writing him back, even if it was just for blog fodder.

In many ways I'm glad that it's been a year since I've been on a date. At this point it's probably just best being sheltered from the disappointment of what dating would actually be like.
I know, right? And he replied to me telling to stop hating on his yard sale and that he would hope I would understand about honoring commitments and such as if Friday night and Saturday morning were the same thing. Men...
Don't feel bad, I haven't been out on a date in over a year and if I don't count my awkward adventures with Batman (which I'm inclined not to count), it would be a decade since I've been on a proper date. Perhaps now you feel less pitiful than me. :-)
